Okay, here's what I've got.

Chris

Does this mean that the Millennium Falcon has feathers? JK. :lol

The ship is looking very good. I am enjoying this build so hope to see her finished.

Hey Chris, sorry for not replying to your kind offer of paint, I've been checking what, if any, I can get hold of over here.

I'll get back to you via PM if that's ok.

Many thanks

No problem man, they're boxed and ready to go if you need em. Your base color looks really nice in the pics, has just the right "look" to it.:thumbsup

What did you end up using for the mix?

Man, that is a thing of ABSOLUTE BEAUTY!!! Can't wait to see it all painted up! Awesome job!!!!

Re: 32" Falcon Progress/ more new piccys page 16

That is absolutely something to drool over! Paint doesn't stick to drool so keep me away from it while you paint.

Re: 32" Falcon Progress/ more new piccys page 16

It's nice to see how this started as a flat sheet of styrene in plan view 3 years ago, on page 1, and grew into this. Great job!

Re: 32" Falcon Progress/ more new piccys page 16

Yeah Lee, it kinda looks like some modern military aircraft in that all over grey they get painted in these days..

Chris, it's just rattle can primer at the moment...no mixing just yet...

Thanks guys for all your encouragement and kind words..:$

Cheers

I thought it was your base coat. In most of the shots the color looks pretty good though. Must be the lighting.:lol

Its looking amazing soo far. I wish this was a kit! I have a Fine Molds 1/72 but i'm not thrilled about the small scale.

Re: 32" Falcon Progress/ more new piccys page 16

Guy's I've been trying to locate the floquil stuff here, and phoned quite a few places with not much luck.
Some say they can get it, but because it has a hazardous solvent in there, it has to be shipped by sea, in it's own sealed container, and delivered to the shop by a carrier that specialises in hazardous chemicals.

Hard to believe I know, and it will take weeks or months to get here on top of all that. Also with all the silly regulations it'll push the price up to £5 or about $8 a jar.

Chris, I'm worried that if you send some to me by air, without all these over the top safeguards, that it might get impounded, and I'll never receive it...

I didn't think getting the right paint would be so difficult...I'm thinking that Tamiya mixing time is the way forward.

If anyone has an idea of what the closest colour match to the floquil grime is, I would very much like to hear your opinions.

Failing that, I'll try gunpowders mix of deck tan/white and see how it looks.

Just been looking through a few paint pots..Tamiya medium grey is a warmish grey that might look ok with some white added, or humbrol 129 light gull grey...this looks pretty close to my MR snowspeeder colour....hmmmm

Dunno what else to add..I'm a bit frustated....

Cheers

Phil
