3 foot Sulaco, version 2.0

Okay, so after some prodding fom fellow modelers I decided to re-do some of my Sulaco parts. I accurized the rail guns top and bottom using Roco minitanks. The engine pedals were CNC'd for me by a fellow modeler, many thanks, he also CNC'd the two side discs. The detail is unbelievable. I've also re-worked the main fuselage. The main section is just a rectangular slug that detail pieces will be attached to. Doing it this way allows more of the detail to come thru and also gives the model a crisper look. The side panels are added on in layers instead of a one piece design. I've also added to front detail pices that get sandwiched together at the front end just behind the probes. Speaking of the probes I had them laser cut and are now a one piece design instead of two pieces like the first. I've also reworked the two arms making them a one piece design with detail plates to be added underneath. Lastly, the middle section is a one piece design for added stability along with a new and accurate generator that sits atop the piece. Here is a link to my photobucket with all the masters and first castings.

Allow me to be the first to say: it still sucks! :)

Joke, joke, seriously it is looking REALLY nice. This going to be a widely available kit, or an exclusive run?

Fantastic News!! Keep us posted regarding when you want to start putting out kits, please. I have someone that is decorating his home theater and wants one of these badly.

What scale is this kit then if its 3 feet long...around 1/400th

Are there any other aliens ships that are in scale with this, like the konami ships?

Keith.

An 80ft long dropship would be 1 inch longer than the hatch in the bottom at 1/400 scale. At 1/700 the dropship would just fit.

Always liked the Sulaco as a design! This is a lovely build too!
I got the impression from the film that the ship had a shiny metallic finish to it....similar to gunmetal(finish, not colour)
