Here it is! The 2010 Sonic Screwdriver Contest is underway!!!!
Thanks to all the participants for all their hard work in creating these one of a kind Sonic Screwdrivers.
There are 35 contestants and it amazes me all the variations that were thought of.
Contestants, please refrain from voting as I figure you will all be voting for yourselves. Also please do not divulge anything we don't want to give away whose screwdriver is whose.
Everyone Else, please feel free to simply respond in the thread by posting the number of the contestant you feel should win. If you want to give the contestants a fit, you can always vote by PM to me and it will be tallied at the end of the contest.
Voting starts now and will be over midnight 5/1.
Here is what the contestants are playing for:
MFX Replicas has graciously donated one of their Limted Edition SONIC SCREWDRIVERS. For those that don't know what it is, it is the OFFICIAL BBC Replica of the Tennant Sonic.
modeleers has graciously donated a Jedi Holoprojector.
fuelish has graciously donated a DVD copy of Doctor Who: Genesis of the Daleks (story 78)
NakedMoleRat has made sure that this is a true Doctor Who Contest by donating a bag of Jelly Babies.
Risu will be donating a pair of Sanctuary Base 6 space suit patches.
I am still taking donation up until the end of the voting period so please pm me if you want to donate. (it doesn't have to be Doctor Who related)
In order to simplify the pics in the thread I have chosen to use 3 (some contestants sent more or less) of the submitted pics. However you can see all of the pics here.

Yea, 16 is funny. Reminds me of the talk about sonic screwdrivers at Gallifrey this year.
Some of those sonics look flat out amazing. In some cases though I can't help but think some of them look more like lightsabers than sonics. Still, great job everybody. I'm glad I'm not allowed to vote.
