Well in my opinion, the voting method I came up with would solve everyone's problems...I just don't know if it is possible.

Well, it is a good system. However, Wall some members seem to be on here 24, 7, 365, there are those with lives that don't get on here, but a few times a week, or less. In theory, using your system, saber "X" could make it to 100 in a day, saber "Y" might take a week to get there, but if the cap wasn't there, saber "X" may have only got that 100 votes, and saber "Y" may have got 200 votes.

In other words, wall the this year, we had a clear front runner, very early on, there was always the chance that large numbers of members, could have not even found the thread until half way into the voting period.

Your way, would make it a race, and a little less (in the end) about witch saber is truly best.

Yes the current system sucks. I'll be the first to say that. However, we have a long ways to go, before we find something that will please most, and we will never have anything perfect, because, like with everything on here, there will always be those that say "that's not screen accurate". (even if you post a picture of the screen used prop. :lol)

I'm not saying we wont try your system next time. We may, if it's possible, I'm just saying no system is perfect. Well, not with out hiring the guy from "NUMB3Rs" :lol ("You can't stop the signal")

Your method does sound fair and fun, but...

I know of no way of doing that with vBulletin software, or of available mods that could make it possible. If it were possible, it would involve hiring a programmer to create it.

You gotta do these builds for yourself, for the fun of it, for the love it. And if you get a lot of votes and win a prize that's just icing on the cake.

Well gang, for those of you that got very few votes, blame the voting system, not your sabers. There were so many truly great sabers, and wall those that won, truly deserve too, all of you deserved more votes then you got. I just wish we had enough prizes, so that everyone could get something, instead of just the top 12.

Actually you where just part of a two way tie, so you only went down one place, and since minifig passed on a prize, you will get the exact same placement on the prize choosing order, that you would have if you had taken the higher place in the tie. So, in other works, other then in terms of bragging rights, you are exactly where you would have been, tie, or no tie.

Though, I personally, really did love your Obi-wan saber. I truly hope you post a build thread, because I just have to know how you made that, from the dollar store junk.

Were were you 3 or 4 years ago, when I need a wind-vain for my obi-wan saber, I could have used a Dollar store version. :lol

I really liked the lightsaber you built. It was an interesting design concept.

My only creative input would be to weather it just a bit.

Then again, I'm one of those prop builders that likes to weather detail everything.
