2 Sonics for the 2nd Doctor?

Here are my caps from "The War Games" German pistol scene and the wall panel scene. Not many but then these were the best angles in the scenes.

Looking at them again I shoudl have set the deinterlace maybe I'll do these again when I find time.

For that matter, are we sure that it WAS the same penlight throughout War Games? I swear it's got an angled emitter end in one scene. :angel

I thought we attributed that to a low resolution screen grab. When we saw the high res one it was round again.

I felt the same. It looked to me that they may be using the reverse end of the pen light set on an hand grip.

I'm sorry! I was only making a joking reference to the "Is it angled?" discussion we had back in the penlight thread. I wasn't being in any way serious. :lol They clearly used the same prop throughout the War Games.

Ah don't say that about the little fellow, this is the baby that started it all. Hidden away in front of our eyes for 45yrs. Not what I had in my head as I've said before, but the original Sonic no less. Yep the Pen Torch was a vast improvement.

For my Second Doctor Costume I have a green laser that looks almost identical to that penlight. I will post a pic later

Quite! But, y'know, it's still a fun addition to the Sonic Arsenal...not to mention it's the only one that's ACTUALLY sonic.

Mooneye, I think it's Bakelite of some sort. I'll poke it with a hot pin later and tell you for sure.

ACTUALLY, (nerd hat on) it isn't. Any of the sonics with a light have an electric pulse that although we can't hear it is indeed sonic. Therefore when in use they are sonic while the whistle, when in use as a screwdriver, is not.

There's another WW2 Baker lite on OZ ebay. Put in ditching whistle. Annoying cos from same seller as I've bought mine from & so far its cheaper The Seller must have a stock of them!
