I've been hired by the Empire to build more TIEs, they had big loss after the Yavin battle.

As I'm currently in the midst of redoing a Tie I'd say its the inner lining for the top hatch. I have to say your beautifully clean build knocks the spots off the one I'm redoing. Bravo Julian.

And yes you are right this part is glued under the top hatch so the armature can not be seen,
