Interest 1408 - Dolphin Hotel Key

Certificates are ready... Now waiting for the keys... (I blurred out the name of the creator and my full name in the picture, but off course this will be mentioned on the certificate. But since I don't know if the creator wants to be mentioned on a public forum, I decided to blur his name for privacy reasons.)

The holograms in the right bottom corner have serial numbers of which the last number corresponds with the number of the key. So key 1 has 58841, key 2 has 58842, until key 10 which has 58850.

You guys will have a pretty rare replica there. I'm not considering a second run, since I mainly wanted a key for my own. I kept the price the same as what the creator charges me, so I don't make any profit on it. Only 10 of these are made and all have a certificate of this run.

I hope everybody is happy with the final result. I am for sure. The key and hanger are not as aged as in the picture of the screen used key (which seems to be burned completely), but rather have the aging as seen in the movie.

As said, if somebody is not happy with the result and wants to back out: no problem.

One remark: the key is made out of pewter. You can not use it as a regular key, or you will bend it. So this is for display purposes only ;). Soon I'll send out a PM for payment of the shipping quote, once i know how much a packed key weighs. These will be shipped in padded envelopes, but taped between sturdy cardboard...
 
Onky remark I could have, is that the hanger seems a bit too "red" instead of yellow. But that might have to do with the lighting on the pictures. This is a picture of the actual brass used, and this seems to have the perfect color:

I don't have the keys in hand yet, so I can't really evaluate the color. But even if it's a tad too reddish, I think it still looks great...
 
Keys are paid for and will be shipped to me somewhere this week. I hope to start sending these out the week after...

Thanks guys, I'll pass the message to the creator of these beauties ;). In the meanwhile I got some questions about the doorplate. I might consider collaborating with the creator of the hangers to offer these if there really is enough interest. I'll put up an INT thread for that one, once the keys are shipped. I'll post a link to the INT thread here in this thread too, then...
 
Was actually wondering if the door plate might be an option. Do you think the design would be functional to hang on the door, maybe a spot for a nail on the back?

Heavy duty double sided tape would do the trick, I guess ;-) Or in Belgium we have Tec7. The plate would never come off again if you use that...

Keys are in, guys :). I'll post some picstures later this evening. They look fantastic! One of them has some minor flaws in the etching. Won't send that one out. All others look perfect. Patina differes a bit on each hanger, but I'll post a picture of all of them, so you can choose which one you want (first come, first served). The patina will darken over time, and can be lightened up with some fine steel wool and brasso. So in fact it doesn't really matter, since you can 'tweak" the patina like you want it.

Keys are pewter: don't use them as a real key, or you will bend them!
 
Here are the keys guys. I numbered them on the picture. Please let me know which one you like by just replying here in the thread. That way, others now which numbers are taken already. As said: in time all hangers will darken like the darkest ones in the picture, but with brasso and / or fine steelwool, you can make them lighter.
