In the meanwhile I created the certificates. These will be full color certificates that states the run size (10), and is numbered and signed by me. They will also have a numbered hologram on them to prevent reproduction of the certificate.

Sweet..!!!...The certificate with the hologram sounds freakin cool..!!!!..Just curious.... will I get number 2 and number 9 - same as the slots...?

Yep, numbers will be the ones in the list. To be clear: the hologram numbers are serial numbers of the hologram itself. They don't correspond to the number of the key (but off course that number will be on the certificate iteself).

The key and hanger will be connected with a brass wire connector in the correct shape. Don't know yet about the weathering. They won't be as weathered as the picture of the screen-used one for sure, because that doesn't correspond to what's seen on screen. There the hanger is somewhat weathered, but I guess I'll leave it up to the buyers. Weathering brass is not that difficult. Leaving it just lying on your desk will make the brass weather on it's own. I have a brass golden snitch on my desk, and if I don't polish it once every 6 months, it's looking weathered too...

Might be. Maybe it was given a burnt look for some scenes after the fire, that were not in the final cut of the movie...

I just watched this movie. In the ending I saw, he survives and plays the recorder for his wife.

Is this the ALTERNATE ending ? If so, I'm glad they made it the real ending.

Oh man I'm excited for this! Can't wait to check out the finished product. The ending on my dvd is the one in which he survives and plays the recorder, and I believe this is also the one used for the theater. The alternate ending I'd seen is the one in which he'd died and there was a funeral for him.

Yep, the DVD version I have ends with him dying in the fire... You can find that ending on Youtube too...

A question guys: the key kan be finished in a dark tone as seen in the picture of the screen used key. Personally I want it not be that dark, but rather silvery, like seen in the movie itself. What do you guys think? If I leave it silvery, you can always darken it yourself, but when it's darkened by the creator, this will be done chemically and it might be impossible to reverse that.

Talked with the creator a bit more, the treatment he will give it, actually is removable by just polishing the key with a soft cloth. So I'll let him darken the key, and people that don't want it, kan reverse the process by just poloshing the key...

I have the clock from the movie and one of the big brass signs from the hotel. Missed out on the production made keys, but would live a replica one...

Maybe some people are not happy with the final result and drop out, in that case you can take over their place, but for now, I'm out of places...

Considering the key is pewter, I would not recommend using it as a real key, as you might damage it. The brass hanger probably is much stronger than the key itself .

Just waiting on some pics of the aged hanger and key now. I'll probably receive the keys somewhere next week or the week after that...
