Great weathering tips, Astro!
Treadwell, LOL this was exactly what I imagined would happen. Apparently, the powder doesn't get dissolved by the clear spray and the clear lays down so thinly you wouldn't notice any layering. I tried spraying it a bit thicker to see what happens and it still looks good. I have the Testors clear, though, despite PHArchivist's warning. Couldn't find anything else close by.
This is a concern of mine. When does a clearcoat NOT jack up the pastels? Seems to me anything chalky will get soaked into the sealer, creating a cloudy area resting a micrometer above where you'd carefully applied it.
