I have the 1:6th sideshow Yoda coming in either later this week or early next.
He comes with a little log for display, but I wanted something a little nicer.. I wanted to give him a "slimy mudhole" and I didn't want to pay the price for the sideshow hut. :lol
I started by following the suggestion of another sideshowcollectors member (anzik) who had already done this.. I bought a $15.00 "log" from the terrarium section of PetSmart.
Taking my display a few steps further, I cut two pieces of plexiglass 9.5" X 12" then sanded and glued them together.
Once that had dried, I marked where I wanted the ground, water, and log to be and then got started.
I painted the water areas green, for ground I glued down a moss mat that I had cut to shape, for shoreline I mixed sand with glue and once it had dried, I painted it a dark brown.
with the log in place, it was starting to look the part.
Finally, I "boxed" it all in with masking tape and used two of those injector style five minute epoxy tubes with a few drops of brown enamel paint.
I may have used too much paint. :lol
Once that cured, I used varying shades of browns and a green or two to bring out highlights and accent things, then coated all of the "water" with future floor wax.

I'm not planning to use Luke for the display and as I mentioned, Yoda hasn't arrived yet (the one in the background is from a dashboard toy) but this was a fun two day project that I think will add to the presentation of the figure.
