1:2 Selene Beckinsale Bust....PAINTED!!!!

Gentlemen:


Here's the first WIP of our 1:2 Kate Beckinsale Selene Bust. We might change everything again from scratch but i need to know first your Crits. Please... we need it hard and honest as possible. We like Selene to surpass our Angie's Bust. Thanks in advance!!!

At the current state it looks more like Starbuck from the new BSG...could you post a pic of Kate to show what look/ expression you´re trying to recreate?

Looks damn good right now! I think you might want to paint it first,then look to see what proportions need to be resized,or modified before deciding anything officially! This should give you a better idea of symmetry,as opposed to just a monochromatic sculpt.

Like I said...the sculpt shows your talent and hard work but it still isn´t Kate for me...

Check the following pic:

IMO you should make her nose smaller and check it´s shape again, the eyes seem to be too small on your bust. In case you´d like to do her in "Vampire-mode" you should also pay attention to the way the fangs -even not shown- have influence on her mouth/ upper lip area.

to me that now looks even less like kate beckinsale than the first time.

the nose is now too thin at the tip and not flat enough, also, the outside edge of the mouth doesn't come low enough. selene as a character has a very simple scowl and the lips on the new version come up to high in my opinion.

I think her hair line is too high bring it closer forward that will help a lot.

The hairline definately needs more work - looks like a 'slipped wig' at the mo!!!

Nose is too pointed. You had the sahoe of it right before, I think but maybe a touch too large. Hard to see in clay and with her pics, they intentionally will hide this to make her more feminine/alluring.
Still, amazing stuff!

I think the eyes can be brought down at the outer edge a little,she has quite a flat lower eyelid line(think anime smiling eyes).

The nostrils can definitely be wider,the nose looks a little narrow which makes it look long.

The face looks a bit small,or the eyes are too big in relation to it so building out the width at the cheekbones might help.


I think she's a lot harder to capture than Angelina but I look forward to more progress pics.
