I picked up these kits up at Modelpalooza this last weekend. Had no idea these were available. Super easy snap kits, very detailed. Need NO paint unless you want to weather the sandtroopers as I did. The only negative thing is the joints are all action figure looking. Not really model kit quality but they are mostly hidden by the really accurate armor. The figures are completely poseable. Also I would have molded the back of the helmets as once piece instead of two. Crappy seam there. But since I wasn’t planning on taking these to any shows and they were just for my own enjoyment, I left the seam there. They give you two options for decals, waterside and peel and stick. The waterslide are a pain in the neck with the shoulder pauldron so I used the stick on ones for the orange one. The backpacks can be built a few different ways which is nice. Anyway, here’s a few pictures. I highly recommend these.

Nice! Did you do a modification to the sandtrooper's helmet between the eyes and the helmet piece? On mine (and I just started building it) there's a gap. It's hidden by the flexible black "eyebrow" band, but on yours I see the band is slightly lifted and it looks like there might be a piece of thin card in there to fill the gap. Or did I somehow assemble this thing wrong.

BTW, what were your weathering techniques? I like the clumpy sand.

You may have not snapped it in all the way. Some of the parts I had to put a bit of pressure on to snap them in good to hide the seams.Everything snaps in perfect and hides the seams. Should not see any.
For weathering, I did a black wash with oils, then dabbed on some burnt umber oil paint and some earth colored acrylics.

They look great. Well done.
Working on the Scout Trooper at the moment, and I totally agree with you about the joints but I'm going to pose him then super glue and fill them.

The joints are kinda weird for us in the states to see on a figure model, but it's most common in the Japanese figure model kits. We are more use to seeing plastic figures like Aurora, Moebius, etc and solid resin figures. Model figures from Japan are almost always ball jointed.

Filling in the gaps was pretty fun.....this is my Speeder Bike & Rider,....still bits to do

I'm gonna thicken up his elbow joint

Like Craig G said, I got the figure posed,..then put a drop of superglue on the joints,....then I filled it with Humbrol model filler,....smoothed off with polystyrene cement,.....the cement is made of the same stuff,...so it thins down the paste
