1:1 Scale Predator wall statue - Maker?

I just purchased a lifesized Predator statue today for a heck of a deal.
It's 7 feet tall, has a flat back and made of polyfoam.
I've seen a couple of folks that have this statue, but I wanted to know more about it.
Sculptor, manufacturer, etc.
Here are some pics:

It has amazing details, and decent paint job.
I'm thinking of replacing the eyes, changing the pose and filling/sculpting the back part of the statue.
Heck for $100 I paid for this thing, I can invest in some materials to make it an even better display.

Anyway, any help on some info on this piece would be greatly appreciated.

Looks great! I'd put it on the ceiling above the bed, but don't tell your significant other about it. Bring them into the bedroom, keep it dark, and well, you know what to do...

It is made by Distortions for Morris cosatumes. That is a fantastic deal.

I just checked the catalog and it wholesales for $499.

Thanks for the info, so is anything on it molded from a screen used piece or is everything a new sculpt?

By the way, here's what I plan on doing to it:

In theory, these are not very difficult fixes, moved the arms lower, moved the mid section out a bit to the left and right, made the hands into fists, rotated the gauntlet and added the cannon which I already have.
Filling the voids would be pretty easy with a dense expanding foam, fill, prime and paint for the finishing touches.
Hopefully I can keep the momentum going and complete this project quickly.

Someone here did just that a few years ago to the same statue. I don't know how they did it, but it turned out great.

I'd love to see that! It would be nice to pick their brain on how they went about doing the mods.
I really want to do this one justice.

What a bargain. I remember the other modded one, it was turned into a full statue, with bio helmet and looked the biz, I think it may have been Sir-round that did it, but I may be wrong

On another note, does anyone have info on getting a bone necklace for this guy to replace the sculpted one?
Any other parts to make this thing more accurate would be great!

For those who know about the statue, how accurate is the head (apart from the solid dress) as far as size?

Well finally somthing I can post about. That piece was sold by Morris costumes starting in 2001. Produced by Artistek LLC. I know cause I made it. It was made from a latex and poly foam front half out of Distortions molds. Jim Laurence at Morris contacted us to do it. I got the piece from Distortions and the mold it came out of was pretty deteriorated. We decided where to cut it, at the shoulders, waist, and knees. I attached those parts to boards and fixed the problem areas with clay, the torso was the main challenge. I added the mouth area, dreds and leather straps and buckle and the necklace.

The hands were palm side up on the piece we got so that had to be replaced with hand backs and the business sides of the gauntlets, (provided by Distortions)
All of the pieces were molded in silicone and run in 3 lb urethane foam, we hollowed out the back side so it could be bolted together.

I left the company in 2002 so I don't have any idea how many years they continued to produce them. It was a very cool piece.
I have video (VHS) of the entire procedure from opening the box from Distortions to putting the first one together.

I have the same half Pred and hacksawed it at the knees and hips to get it into a more dynamic crouching position. Used metal tuping and fiberglass at the jointed areas for reenforcing. Then started filling in the back.

Same thing with the arms. Lots of fiberglass reinforcing on the inside shell of the torso to hold up the weight of the arms as they were being filled.

The dreds can be hacksawed off and seperate ones added. I added glass eyes to mine.

I believe the hands may be P2, and the feet are all wrong. The gauntlets are a little wonky. Overall, though, the thing looks pretty good.

I suggest putting yours in the corner rather than flat against the wall to at least give the illusion of a full figure.

By the way, I finished the master for some cold foam replacement dreads I'll be making for this statue:

I decided to make this myself since I found some flex foam material that I never used.
I tried it out on a make-shift mold using rolled packaging tape (same way I made the master but with resin) and it turned out nicely.
