... also did a molding using a Urethine rubber compound that was sent to me by a friend to experiment with. I'll probably be making this in that sort of material but need to see what its like to paint first.
Heres one pic showing that I'm not only trying to mimic the wrinkles as closely as possible but also the style and technic... I'm not just going for an idealised perfect looking sculpt... it has to feel like it was created by the hands of Freeborn.
I think you're sculpt looks absolutely amazing! But I think the eyes protrude too much. Also, the bags under his eyes seem slighty off center and directly under the center of his eyes. I'm not sure if it's just the angles of the pictures you have taken. I know that every picture looks different because he's a puppet and changes from expression to expression. Your sculpt is obviously the most accurate Yoda produced so far, keep up the great work.
I think it is the light bud... you'll see when I do a series of photo comparrision shots when I'm nearly finished - the whole look and feel of it is based on the way I've sculpted these eyes.![]()
