Thanks everyone... I'm just so glad to have finally gotten where I want with this piece and proud enough to actually display it in my own lounge.

Incidentally. I was out in the countryside yesterday and saw some Pony maine tangled over some barbed wire and thought to myself... boy that looks ideal for Yoda hair... very thick wirey strands.

i found some goats hair at a fishing tackle shop that looks very good, perhaps a bit finer than horses.its got that yellowish old look about it too. they use it to make flys.
