1:1 e.t.

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a 1:1 statue of E.T. for my first full movie. I know I'm going to use a type of flexible metal tubing to make the skeleton.

I also know that i'm going to use latex sheeting for the body and limbs.

All I need to know is what kind of material is needed to make the head, I may make a latex mold out of a E.T. face made of clay on a styrofoam head.

If anyone knows an easier way to make this please let me know.

They're probably waiting for you to show a sculpt or your flexible metal skeleton.

you could make the head out of foam latex sheeting as well. how articulated is the head supposed to be? How realistic is it supposed to be? You could make it like a puppet out of foam.

If i were doing it, I would make it out of clay first and then cast it in a plaster mold and then make a rubber latex positive from that mold. Hope this helps.
