Seriously - if you're going to build a y-wing over the summer grab these castings before he goes on vacation. I started adding up the kit costs to get all these nurnies and these casts are a waaaay cheaper method of getting parts. Now if I can just get some time to get started on my y-wing :) C

Absolutely! You can even pick up addressable LEDs (aka neopixels) on Ebay. I only recommended the Adafruit stuff, as thats how I got started with programming LEDs and leaning to code for the Arduino and their support was fantastic. I was looking for a way to make the engines of a model...

I'd recommend looking into some of the stuff from Adafruit. Specifically, the Flora wearable controller (https://www.adafruit.com/products/659) and some NeoPixels (https://www.adafruit.com/products/1260). A little coding would be needed, but they have excellent tutorials, and a very helpful...
