Having issues converting files to work on 123d design downloaded loads of files from various sites they all state they will work but aren't does anyone following this thread have any advise also I read further up they managed to convert pep files to 3d would give my iron man suit another level

Found some files in there that look like what I want can download them easy enough but my 123d design won't open them they have the 123d symbol on them but not playing ball am I missing something

Have brought my self a 3d printer wanna print few bits for my new iron man build wanna print helmet hand fingers and a reactor and look into ways of making the face plate go up but there are a few ways of doing this I believe only issue I'm having is all the files to print the helmet are full...

Wondered how folks are getting in and out there suits I cut my mark 42 down the side worked ok still needed to be very flexible but I got in and out didn't look as tidy as I'd like tho how are people modifying there suits so they can get in easily with out to much stress on painted forum

Sounds very complicated gunner do a mark 21 first to get another suit under. Belt before trying something that big

down loaded all the files how would i go about converting these to work in foam as i prefer working in foam rather than card

Upside down but painted face plates my nefew wanted pink I have no idea why lol

Primers gives good bass to paint I did 2 primer and 3 paint layers and gunner do 3 layers of clear

Looking at closed cell foam can buy in large sheet is this stuff the same or as good to use

Here my mark 42 build is going pretty good for a first attempt at anything like this so having to take my time so far been through 150 glue sticks and killed one gun oh and 18 sheets of foam its looks good no over happy with the lower arms and still experimenting with helmets as they go together...

Building a mark 42 suit not the best idea for a newbie, is very fideley but Owell looked on here for advise and guide etc, everyone suits looks a lot better than mine, and the material looks a lot better, I'm using Eva foam got from Amazon says for use as garage floor tiles gyms etc, it works ok...

Gunner paint one of my helmets soon what colours have people used to give a close colour match to the films
