For me, the main reason is cost. Also, there are many screen used props that are in horrible shape. I'd rather have an idealized replica that really reminds me of the movie than looking at something with faded paint and/or broken bits. A great example is the Gangs of New York replica Nexus6...

I think you definitely have that mix figured out! The final blade should look incredible!

Very good work! I always thought the glass weapons in the game were somewhat ridiculous, but they looked good. You've done a wonderful job creating one! :thumbsup
