I saw the clip, and in some scenes it appeared to be a Mossberg 500 cruiser shotgun with a cane handle stuck on it to act as an improvised shoulder stock. This was in the scenes where House had his back to the camera though and they were quick so I might be wrong.

It's always amazing how the most impractical looking things designed to make a videogame look cool, seem to be so readily replicated in the real world.
