Another Illustration born of a question. What color space suits would the three guys in hibernation wear, once revived? Bowman was red, Poole yellow, the Blue one was hanging in the pod bay. The green one was in the emergency airlock and Bowman uses the Green Helmet to re-enter the Discovery. So given the other space suit equipment is all Orange, presumably to make it easier to see in space, against the other colors of space suits. And taking into account Kubrick making things precise and accurate. I figured the three principal suits in the movie are Primary colors. The others, for again the 3 guys in hibernation, would be secondary colors. minus the orange. Get i? Make sense? So... here is my Warhol-esque illustration.
