Original Kit bash ship `Tempest'

Your work is absolutely extraordinary. I am totally blown away. I love this design, it is so cool! The lighting is perfect for the size... wow... I am impressed and will watch your progress closely.

Cant wait to see this beauty finished.

Wow, Thanks friends,:)

qcfoundry-san,
Thank you very much for you to interested in my model.
The model is about 3' 5" long.

Walter-san
Thank you very much, I will try not let you down.
Here are some pics of a little progress.

I've been working on the stern section this weekend.
I did not like this section because it looks sag down toward the tail.
So I put a bulky structure and some greebles to cover this bad shape.

The place I don't like... Tail down

Start with some greebles,

SA350745.jpg

This is not an air conditioner
This is the hyper cooling system for nuclear powered rail gun system
or something. (To put the square thing on the round surface was so difficult for me)

And to the other side.

SA350748.jpg

These are not the radiator of that air conditioner
They are the .... Well, whatever.

Watch out
I'm about dribble from my mouth. I should have locked up my work shack.

again...brilliant work!

this gives me great pleasure. i have this vision...of after i (finally) complete all the star wars props i want to, i'll have tons of left over kits. i want to create some great (non star wars) work from them...and this gives me a lot of inspiration that one is being done before me.

kudos for the marriage of all the round surface ....and working flat surfaces up to them. a contour guide is your friend in these cases.

not to complain too much (again), but such great work really needs great photography. i 5 meg camera (or better), a timer, and something stable to stand the camera on will great increase your photography. lighting is the fourth step, imo...and more easily attainable. this work should more highly showcased!

keep it up.

any plans on finishing work (painting, weathering, etc)?

Thanks again, qufoundry-san,

I've checked all the pics of your achievement in your Fotki.
And now I'm looking for my jaw I dropped then:eek.

Super build! I was blown away with your AT-ST and Clone Tank:love,
and many more goodies. Also the precise plan you draw and sketches:eek.

And:confused I envy your nice work space and environment. Beautiful house:love
I was shocked:lol and I'm very happy that my work has been given so
many nice comment by the person like you:love.

Let me smooth my feathers to carry on:lol

I found that one of my daughters has a nice 7.1 mega camera.:love
So I am going to snatch it:thumbsup

Now I'm doing overall detailing and additional correction here and there.
And very near future, I will proceed to the paint job and weathering.

I think I want to express the panel line painting in several grayish colors
separately. The weathering is the something I have to consider.
I'm collecting some pictures of modern aircraft carrier and factory.
Any of your suggestion is highly welcomed.

All the best

katsuhiko Fujihira

excellent!
now we can see twice as much greeblie goodness.

your choices are to be commended. as jason said earlier...there's an art to it....not too much, not too little. certain areas should be busy...why you should also let the eyes "breathe" and leave some areas less congested. i really think you're showing great restraint in this facet.

thank you for the better photographs.

Very nice yuumi-san! :thumbsup brings me back to my days as a kid and Space Battle Ship Yamato (AKA Star Blazers) and Captain Harlock.

Yes,I'm a bit older then you may think.

This is Absolutely Amazing, "first Scratch-build" are you sure?

Or is the First one you have completed?

Either way, YOU should be building Model kits for Motion Pictures, the Quality of your Work and the Detail is Stunning!

propsculptor-san

Thank you very much for your kind words.

Honestly, this is my first kit bashing model I've ever made.:)

Ever since I built my last kit model for long time ago,
until now, I've only made two models.:$
One is a full scratch vehicle here,

And this one ongoing.
