The lure of primer finally ensnared me...I've also completed the upper mandible maintenance wells
My next task will be to machine the McClaren 'boxes' which sit between the hull curve and the mandibles (you know the ones I mean)

Machined the McClaren M23 box today from 10mm Perspex, then moulded and cast a few copies.
Looks pretty good, and didn't take too long either.

Outstanding work. Whenever I do "greeblying" on my own models, I still see the coloured pieces even after I give them a coat of primer. I wonder if that is true for anyone else. It take a while for that memory to go away.

You never realize the insane amount of detail and work that goes into the Falcon until you see it step by step. Amazing work!

I spent this evening working on the portside hull panelling and fitting the radar mount.
I want the Falcon to be modifiable into different iterations, so I went with the TFA grill styling with a neodymium magnet embedded in both the mount and the base- means it turns nicely as well as allowing the potential for swapping it out.

Panelling on the portside hull is almost done, including all the tiny scab plates which I'm trying to position in the exact same places as the five footer (wild huh?)
I also can't stop priming areas...it just makes it look so good !

Excuse the poor quality photos...
I machined and fitted the lower jawbox mount this evening, it all fits wonderfully and is theoretically strong enough to support the weight the landing gear will take.

I know the feeling. Your falcon is definatly worth finishing tho,It showcases your ability which is at BOSS LEVEL

Are you kidding?? A scratch built Falcon is infinitely cooler than a prepackaged one.
Anyone can buy a kit and glue it together. You are making ART.

Yeah, don't stop. I love this. I don't have the time, patience, or skill to do what you are doing, but it looks amazing and infinitely more rewarding.
