Hey all - I just signed up here as I'm just getting my feet wet with modelling. I recently purchased an Ertl MPC Millenium Falcon kit off ebay that I'm going to start working on soon and I thought it would be smart to connect with people who already know what the hell they're doing.
But what this thread is really about is the Falcon.
I was recently at the Star Wars Exhibit at the San Jose Tech Museum of Innovation here in California and they had on display a full-size model of the Falcon. (to clarify and avoid confusion, I say full-size as I assume it's what they used primarily in the films - it wasn't life-size or anything - if there's a better term let me know. I'm a noob at this so bear with me)
The model was probably around 3 1/2 feet wide.
I took some hi res photos with my camera (Canon 5D Mark II w/ a 50mm lens) and wanted to share.
Thought maybe some of the close-ups and general photos could help some people with their builds, and/or otherwise just feel free to gawk at the magnificence of this ship.
These are photoshopped for lighting and size, but if anyone wants some high res versions of any of these photos let me know. The raw files are pretty big.
Enjoy!
