*****SPOILER ALERT*****
I've never really watched anything on the CW and thought I would give this a try. I enjoy it, not blown away by any means, but I like watching it. Two quick things:
1) I was disappointed in the last episode when Queen was arrested on suspicion of being the Arrow. Maybe it's just me, but being so soon into this new series, isn't it a bit early to make that connection? I know..............there will be a story line that shows he's not the Arrow, maybe David Ramsey's character, John Diggle, steps in and confesses he's the Arrow (I doubt Queen forever goes on the run).
But even hinting at him as the Arrow, even if disproved in the next few episodes, kind of blows the mystery a bit for me. I don't know, unless they have a real good story line as to why he isn't the Arrow, they may lose some buy-in from the audience. I mean, the Arrow did all of a sudden just show up after Queens's return. I hope they play that well.
2) Maybe I am just now noticing it, but it seems in the most recent episode Amell's voice as the Arrow is run through some sort of distortion process in post production. I don't ever remember his voice sounding so warped in previous episodes. Rather than him just talking deeper or changing his voice for the character, it sounds like it was changed after filming. I don't like it, it sounds unnatural. I wasn't smoking peyote that night, so is it just me?
