X-men: First Class costumes?

I've also made two or three wolverine first class drawings in my notebook, I might scan them someday. In my version, I've kept the colour scheme of the movie costumes but with short sleeves (wolverine must show his furry biceps lol) and those kind of yellow "spikes" on its sides. I've also added a hood, but I've tried to make it look like a helmet (more like the captain america movie design). I think it would be more logical for Wolverine to wear a helmet than a hood (yes, he can survive a bullet, but it still hurts a lot XD)

Edit:

These are not the drawings I was talking about, but they could be related to this topic as well. I tried to make them look similar to Captain America's movie costume. On of them has the first class colour scheme:

Other than the strangulation of the 'boys' and what looks like a hardhat he's wearing ( :lol ) the rest of the color schemes and suit mock-up look pretty good. A harness should never have to look that painful to wear....poor Wolvie....

Well, I added that painful harness in order to make the shape of the 'pants' without it really being pants (which wouldn't look ok in a "real life" version of the costume). I Took the idea from Solid Snake in MGS 2. Anyways, I wore that harness for a costume and it wasn't painful at all. Here you have the proof

And he looks like he's wearing a hardhat because he IS wearing a hardhat, lol! As I said in the description, I wanted to give him a Captain America movie feel. I'm sculpting that Wolverine 'helmet' right now, for a friend. I will open a thread about it as soon as it's finished.

I'm not english speaker, so excuse me if I understood it wrong: hardhat = helmet, isn't it? o_O

Actually... y'all may have hit on a really killer idea for the next set of movies to come.

Imagine that Wolvie was wearing a helmet where the head wing things STARTED as strap down pieces. Maybe not a full-on goggle...but just part of the helmet. Then...in the middle of battle, they get ripped...so that they're all sprung out.

That would be a more realistic cause for a weird mask like that. Just an idea. What do you think?

You could pull off that look actually, if written and visually executed just right, to appease those hardcore fanboys out there that wasn't happy with what they did with Wolverine thusfar. I'm fine with him EVER wearing any assemblance of a mask, but as a special helmet, and the accidental sprung from the straps to make the shape and appearance of the famous 'comic wings' should shut them up for a while. But that's if it's executed just right. A fine line to ride on that one. :lol
And hardhat means helmet, but in the states in refers to the basic construction worker safety version that is wonky and most are made of a high impact PVC.

so here it is, Ide like to see a hood that velcro's and is tightened at the back or something, but here for the moment is a Wolvy helmet styled around the captain america helmet (after all there is all teh ties to the army/government etc). verdicts, alterations????

edit: sorry about the poor quality of colouring etc, done them quickly.

yeah all that would have to be done is stick a pair of bits onto a cap helm and spray it different colours and bang. If I ever get round to making a cap helm I might give it a go.

Wow, that's really cool! The classic X-Men look very interesting in these costumes (besides, interesting choices for storm and Jean Grey).

good compilation of information on the costume of the x men. Good idea about the wolverine helmet had not occurred to me 10 points.

Nice find Nick. I know Miracole used to be a fixture on several costuming boards (and at D*C). Looks like a fan girl (guy)'s dream job.
