Re: What's on your workbench?

Almost ready to mold this rifle:

Just started painting this rifle:

Made the just right hand to go with it:

And the rest of the armor which I still have to trim and strap together:

So I'll have something to wear with this helmet:

Right behind that helmet I'm working on the Lady Thor helmet:

And about the same time that one's ready to mold, I should be able to mold this one too:

And then there's the usual assortment of little works in progress that aren't getting much progress scattered all over:

And so on...

Re: What's on your workbench?

No problem. I was only able to find one good image from some of the trailers on youtube. This is what I've been using for reference. The part that I'm calling the "bulb" is giving me a lot of trouble.
awesome! i also searched through the trailers but i always got stuck to the first one with the batteries missing and went nearly crazy about it. But then i found a short scene from the movie so that i was able to figure out some of the details....but never seen a picture as good as your reference!

Oh and on our Workbench you can find this .....and we are working on his bomb...with an watercooled Mini ITX Desktop PC in it....

Re: What's on your workbench?

Inspired by the new season of MST3K on Netflix, I dusted off some special parts I've had on my shelf for years, and began to make my robot friends.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Here is the result of my first rubber cast of the DroidCaller and the metal holder (self made) to my Han Solo belt:

Made a quik and dirty T-Slot to see how this will look. Still not final, but i think I am on a good way.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Not actually on my bench yet, but my latest project - version 2 of the NIKE FOOTWEAR Tube Bag from BTTF2.

The master parts are being machined from aluminium and then will be molded in silicone and cast in hard plastic (a UV stable Epoxy).

Even though I had drawn this tube bag up in SU many times, I always seemed to miss something. So I hired the services of an Industrial Designer to make sure this gets done right.

The first part is an end cap. This was machined from a 300mm dia alloy biscuit. The machinist also gave me back the centre cutout for a future project being the base of Mr.Fusion.
