The DEFINITIVE FREDDY KRUEGER glove thread

I’ve Aways wanted a Freddy glove since I was a kid but never got around to it mostly due to price. I was completely floored when I saw this version being offered by razor gloves. For $65 ?!?!? Are you kidding me? I upgraded to the mirrored blades and think it was $99 total. I am absolutely amazed at the quality for the price. The blades have a fake edge on them so they look sharpened. So freaking cool. I cannot day enough good things about Chris and the work he does. It was a bit of a wait but soooo worth it.

That is a stunningly low price for that kind of product. Too bad they're out of stock for now!

He's just backed up on orders. He opens it up as he gets more room. You also might want to try contacting him to see if it's possible. I ordered mine back in February and he was anticipating May but then Covid hit and it pushed it to July but man it was worth the wait. I cannot believe the quality.

Reviving a bit this thread, but just received my Part 3 glove from Trick or Treat studios, I think it looks good overall, but I am unsure about the coloration, it seems a bit off. I was wondering if anybody had any reference pictures of the part 3 glove? It doesn't look there are any clear shots of it in the movie...

I bought that one second hand and the seller didn't remember the maker but told me maybe Razorgloves.......it is really nice but it misses the re-soldered blade (which was broken before filming part 1), so I guess it is an old replica......
Sorry for the crappy pic.

Razor gloves is nice and it’s cheap It’s not at all accurate to the part one glove. I have tried to order gloves before on several occasions from good old Chris . One he’s horrible at his customer service never returned one email . Second I waited 2 months and had to file PayPal charges to get my money back . I honestly don’t know if he’s a Grifter or just a Jerk . Do not order from him either way you wont Get the glove. Few years back his prices were higher and he offered accurate gloves . Now he offers these basic gloves at dirt cheap prices that pulls people in maybe that’s the Grift . I would have paid triple for a more accurate glove that you actually were gonna get .

What would you recommend for a good part III glove?

Also can you point it what is inaccurate exactly? I can't seem to access the old listings from prop store anymore :/

To be honest I am not sure at this point I gave up on the Freddy Gloves. when you deal in Friday the 13th or Elm st etc replicas you have to swim in the worst of The worst for sellers in the hobby . I think David Miller who created several of the gloves for the Elm St. films is offering them now on eBay . The prices are not cheap and I really have not given them much of a look to see how accurate they are but David Is a super nice guy unlike that Grifter scumbag . To point out what’s wrong with the Trick or treat would take all day. To make it short it’s a mass produced piece of junk from China IMO. David also offers several original casting of the elm street masks and some full sized props from the films that blow away anything Trick or Treat or anyone else has offered .

Could you pinpoint to an ID number? Can't seem to see anything on my side. I mean TOTS isn't always top notch, but I thought the glove itself was pretty well constructed for the price point and it's metal too. The only thing that bugs me is the colour variation but it's nothing that can't be fixed.

I *think* these are from partIII but cannot access the listing from propstore. I kinda see what they tried to do with the gold ish and copper aspect, but it feels very much like paint drops haha,

I just looked David doesn't have them listed for sale .To be fair this was a few months ago you could ask them . His ebay store I think is elmoscave . I cant remember if part 3 was one of the offerings . I have tried the Trick or Treat Freddy masks they are Chinese Junk . I know NECA sells the gloves I would imagine they are around the same quality give or take . Razor gloves used to make a Glove called "The Numero Uno" it was really nice . This was before he went to the dark side .

I had picked one up from NECA (from the remake IIRC) more than 10 years ago, all real metal & suade, fantastic weathering, faux sharp blades you would not be able to tell they can't even cut paper unless you touched them, & I would say pretty much over 90% accurate. For something like $60 I think it's probably the best all-round bargain I have ever made.

The ToTs Gloves are a great base, and not horribly inaccurate for the price. At the end of the day they're higher quality Halloween accessories. You can get better for sure, but they're great for the price. Here's a couple of pics of the actual Part 3 glove in some promo images, the only thing that really stands out to me is the heavy black on the backplate. Buff the edges and center with steel wool and you're in business!

Also fun fact about the Neca Gloves, They're metal but like the metal Rubies gloves, they're a steel base with copper and brass plating over the top. Found that out while adjusting and resoldering the ringlets.

I saw this thread pop up and I want to contribute, too!

This is my P1/P2 hybrid glove I made myself some Halloweens ago, based off of the screen-used templates floating around (also properly sized them for printing too to make sure they weren't undersized like I'd seen others do). I'd made a number of these before based off of my own templates and sold them off to fund this glove project, but I had completely forgot about it and went back to make this one only to find out the lesson I should've remembered the first time--- Boy, these things are hard to make!

The gloves themselves are as close as I could get (they don't have the red ball on the pull string), custom dyed and torched. The back plate and fingers are made from brass and copper sheeting, sporting knife blades I cut and polished myself out of stainless steel. I cut them a little longer than the real things as I liked the look of them more that way. The glove is reflection of Freddy's evil and perversion; they're not for hacking and slashing, these cut into places they're not meant to, these are not meant for quick kills. These are devices for long, drawn-out torture.

If I had to do one thing over, it's the blades and fingertips. At the time, brazing hadn't become the standard for these and the info floating about by other builders put soldering as the go-to method. I didn't make a good job at them I don't think and now they're discolored and taken on gunk and patina. The only thing that's putting me off from the job is that cutting the blades were a trick-and-a-half and I've not worked up enough care to bother doing it again just yet.

Glove thread? Sick.

I’m an amateur builder to be sure, but here are two that I have made. The Part 1 is an early build, pre-blade break, Screen accurate templates, type M copper pipe, correct thickness brass (I don’t remember what it is, but it’s quite thin.) It was owned by my good friend Brandon before he passed away, I don’t know where it is now. I made a sister glove to this that I still own but never got around to actually buying and finishing a leather for it.

The second is a “Son of a Hundred Maniacs” inspired glove. I kind of winged it. It is a very comfortable glove, and visually one of my favorites.

I made these in April of 2019. I have a great desire to make a Part 4, but who knows when.
