This is the holy grail for me. When I saw the film 25 years ago, I dreamt of owning one of these suits and as years went by that dream seemed more an more unlikely. So saying I'm over the moon just doesn't come close.
It took plenty of digging mate, believe me, but it came directly from a member of the crew. It's all in pretty good condition. There are some area of deterioration, but that's to be expected. Over all, it great condition for it's age
Its funny how the crew members used to end up with some great stuff. I don't think that happens much anymore. These days props (on major films) are treated like gold. They're logged in and out when used and stored securely when not in use. Anyway, congrats! Great find.
Welldone PJW, Could you please tel me which fabric and material you used on mask and in the 2nd last image where you covered with yourself with a long peice of cloth.

This is the production made section. That is THE actual suit from the 1989 Batman movie. And that "piece of cloth.. that's the actual cape from the movie.
As a Pittsburgh boy, I have a special place in my heart for Michael Keaton. I still think he was the best Bat, and that the original was the finest mixture of darkness and camp before or since. And now you have his codpiece. And that's nothing to sneeze at. Well done, lad!
:thumbsup
I saw this thread bumped, just wanted to add that I think the sneakers are custom made by Nike. Not just painted. I like how they made the swoosh gold so it would be visible, and the costume makers just covered it with armour. :lol
