Earlier I made a replica of the Lewis Strauss (played by Robert Downey Jr.) TIME magazine seen in 'Oppenheimer'. Thought I should complete the set and make the Cillian Murphy version! This one was seen on the coffee table in the White House when Oppie is waiting to see President Truman.
Like the Lewis Strauss one, this one was made using the same type of paper that was used to make the prop on the film. Cover was printed and folded over an actual vintage TIME edition, as per the original prop. Slapped on a 'Chesterfield' ad from the same era since we never saw what the back actually looked like. Fun fact: this brand is Oppenheimer's favorite type of cigarette!
Overall, an indelible replica project. Makes for a lovely little coffee table display.
