Man, for the record that is the inverter I am using. Works perfect. They wanted to charge me $9 shipping and I live <10 miles from them. Pinn, no worries bro. Like jedifyfe said, nobody will notice. There's your first lesson to take your time. Now you will take great care from here on out. Like Jedifyfe said, with a lil heat they come out easily. My advice may be to use a tiny drimmel and try to smooth it out, without removing too much. But be careful as to not go through. Overall, these shoes are super resilient. Keep it up.

You're right... I did kinda rush the right side. I won't give up on these shoes yet.

As for the EL Panels, I got mine from China via eBay. I ordered 3 and they gave me an extra as a gift. Took about 17 days to get here IIRC.

Was the majority of these things necessary? Probably not, but for a noob like me it is ALL guess and test.

I could've saved $50 if I had the electronics knowledge of one inverter being too big and the other wasn't the right current. However, I learned from my mistakes. Also, would've saved money if shipping costs weren't making me gouge my eyes out with a flux capacitor.

Pinn, your posts are not annoying at all, that last one is super helpful, actually. I'm getting together my final shopping list now for all the parts and it's good to confirm a few things.

cavx what material did you use to make your ustom soles and how durable is it?

I used ERA's (made in Australia and really expensive) Cold Cast Clear Elastomer. The description even said "shoe soles" and you can specify the shore hardness that you want. After looking at cured sample blocks, I went with OC80A. You can read all about my trials in the clear sole link in my signature.

Personally, for what the stuff cost me ($200 just for the CCCE), I think 4 tubes of Shoe Goo is not only cheaper, it will work just as well. The mistake I made with Shoe Goo was molding directly to the mid sole. I think my idea of making a clear mat first like I did with the CCCE, then cutting to shape and gluing on is better and will work.

Pinn, with everything you have you might as well buy a second pair after you become a pro on this first pair. One for display and one to wear. I'm sure you'll find something to do with the micro inverter.

I think i might do what clone props did and make the piece in a 3d cad program and get it 3d printed then mold it and cast it in polyurethane or some other material.
Also what was the shore harness of your soles?
