Just getting started. Doing this by fingers, no pliers. But somehow i just can't help but think how easy this would be if i was to make a jig to get it done...GM

Just a quick update. I had come to the realization that although i fully intended to make the link costume. It would be all for not. My daughter does'nt see costuming the same way as i do. So i will complete the shield the sword and the chain-maille but as hard as it is to say, an online purchase will be made in respects to the costume. Sorry guys, hope you guys still chime in from time to time and thanx for the support...GM

I was making good progress, and so i thought. However i botched the paint job. Something that i thought would go over smoothly. AHHHH!!!!!GM

An update. As i was running out of time due to a very busy work schedule and an ongoing pain in my hands we had to order the outfit. So all i could do is the shield so that it will be ready for halloween. I am also working on the chain-maille shirt witch is half way done, i had'nt ordered enough so i need more. So here is what i've gotten done.

A little brown and black wash to get the grime in the corners, and maybe a little drybrushing to bring out the wear spots on the raised sections.

What that does is hides imperfections and turns them into character.
