Hoth Rebel Ion Cannon (finished)

Great job!!!!

Everythig looks perfect I lovethe base, I would just add something to show scale, maybe some small figures or control room on cliff like one suggested.

Thanks for so much positive reactions :)

To answer the questions,

1.The paintjob and weathering:
The Basecolour is a mix of Tamiya flat white and grey followed by a mix of
some Vallejo Model Air Colours that are airbrushed very thinned to give it a
little dirty-brown used look.
Last step was the dark streakes, i made it with black pastel chalk and
two fine brushes.
Then a coat of Testors flat clear.
2.The Base:
is made of Styrodur and gypsum.

There was always something kind of surreal about that scene in Empire that I like. Your work on the cannon is great! :cool

That is really quite amazing. To what end did flat eric contribute to the gun's construction?

This is truly inspiring !

Now I'll be on the Look out for Spheres in the local Floral shops !!!

Flawless build ! This is a little Gem !

Take care of it ! :$

I forget the sizes because as i recall...its in centimeters, but Michaels and Franklin Crafts has clear styrene domes(half spheres). The largest one looks to be around 8-10 inches in diameter. What's the largest/sizes that Plastistruct makes?
