To be fair, the EU was never canon to begin with. It's only 'canon' was to itself. I think the 2nd publisher that took over beginning with the death of Chewie overwrote some of the previous storyline as well.

I guess I didnt get too far into. Mainly I was a fan of the Timothy Zahn books. :lol
