Dune Matador Sculpture

After watching Dune, I had to have that Matador sculpture. I found file on Thingiverse but decided to modify it. I made the base out of wood and acrylic. I’m pretty happy how it came out. There are definitely a few inaccuracies but I still really like it.

Did you just sand smooth the facets that shouldnt have been there or did you modify the file?

I modified the file, changed the horns and such.

Definately on my to-do list as well. Still looking for a bit more reference material. Had noticed the file on thingyverse, and your improvements on it are very nice!

Did you print the muleta/cape too? I was thinking of shaping that out of copper or such... Still contemplating materials though..

Hope you don’t mind me posting mine in your thread jhusel! Didn’t want to start a new thread…

This is the 3dmon version that was posted here and printed out by Jediguy.

It’s a bit darker than what I was aiming for but generally happy with it! Started with a copper/bronze basecoat before putting on a layer of greens and then sanding some of it off before adding patina/oxide effects

Fun little project to work on for sure and makes a great display piece!
