Back to the Future

Sort of slightly off-topic but no too far. Just discovered that Slice is actually a real soft drink. I'd always assumed it was a made up one like Pepsi Perfect. Learn something new every day :)

:confused really? You've never had Slice?
Maybe it's just an American drink? I've had it my whole life :lol

MartysBedroom.jpg

While I'm on the subject I stumbled across this while trying to find better pictures of Marty's bedroom this evening. Has anyone reproduced the picture of Jennifer he has above his bed?

And do we know what any of the other pictures might be?

Probably dont have it where you live, but it was introduced in 1984 and discontinued in 2000, then reappeared in 2006 and is only sold at walmarts since then... According to wikipedia of course.

Wow i haven't thought of Slice in a long time. Sadly if they still made it i bet the labels will be different. Soda companies can't keep anything consistant.

Now that you have seen my "Enchantment Under The Sea" dance poster, you probably want to go back in time and visit that Hill Valley High School event. But wait a minute! You have no admission ticket! No problem, here it is: ;)

Enchantment_Under_The_Sea_Dance_Admission_Ticket_remade_by_Roland_Zubcic.pdf

The PDF file contains two versions: the unmodified original prop version with the wrong date "March 21" and a modified version with the changed date "November 12". Size of the ticket is 3½ x 2½ inches.

There was prop ticket for this???

Yes, there was, but never used for the final movie. That's the reason for the wrong date (they obviously changed the date of the dance during production). You can see that ticket in the japanese exhibition catalog "Hollywood SFX Museum" from 1990.

nice job roldand as ALWAYS thank-u, ive heard about that book (hollywood SFX Museum) love to see\own one.... :thumbsup

Some threads back but I finally also made the "Save The Clock Tower" can with the excellent pdf Roland made. I saw on this forum another Belgian was trying to make one but couldn't find the can. Luckaly a request on Facebook turned up the correct one: sometimes available in our local "ACTION" & "Colruyt" chain. The red lid came from another can that's not available anymore.

Thanks Roland, a nice adder to my collection! SNC01536.jpg

Hi there,

I'm new here. I've spent half the day reading the 73 pages of this topic ! Now I have a precise idea of what has already been made and what's left to be created in the future ;)

Let me introduce myself. I'm Patrick (also known as Toutflou, Pastoutnet or Pastounet on other forums). I'm from Paris (yes it's in France and no, not all the French are like Hervé (I've read the whole story, and I must say that I painfully remember him bothering me on Facebook too !)).

I've been generous to the Back to the future community for more than a decade. I started with a website that's still alive (but frozen and remaining the same since 2006). My early work was reproductions of things from the movies (Hilldale sign, Twin/Lone Pine signs, the first ever made reproduction of the Enchantment under the sea poster...)
Then I started to make floorplans (Doc's garage, McFly house 1985 and 2015, Courthouse square 1955, 1985, 2015, 1885), then I started to redraw the buildings' facades for 1955 and then for 2015. All of that made in bitmap !!!

Through the first years, I added many things like a Monopoly (!), playing cards, hoverboard drawings, 1885 dancing stage plan, smileys, among many other creations...

In 2002, I got a new software (from my father who is an architect) called Sketchup (long before it was bought by Google). Thanks to it, I learned the existence of vectorial drawing ! :lol So I started modeling the Courthouse. After that, I decided I would try to make the whole square. The first version of the finished 1955 square was released on my site in january 2004 (wow already 10 years ago :eek !). Images of the latest version of this model are here.

Many other models followed (you can find some of them on Turbosquid for free).

After 2006, I made a break of several years when I did not create much things related to BTTF. Anyway, since 2001, I've always been quite an active member on the french forum RVLF.com forum.

Recently, I've been back in the creation process. I've started reproducing Hill Valley 1885 (saloon and station) but I'm still waiting for more images to base my work on.

For almost one month now, I've been looking for very tiny details and made lots of investigation to find real stuff used in the trilogy (thar's the interesting part and why I'm here today) Among that are many items from several places (Cafe 80, Lou's Cafe, McFly's house...). The topic is called "Detail of the day" and I've been able to uncover exclusive details each day since january 28th !

You'll find attached to this message a sample of my recent discoveries (first published on the RVLF.com forum).

I hope it will be usefull and I really would like to initiate great new projects !

See you in the near future !

Patrick

In your few posts here, you've already been a help to my BTTF project, so I already appreciate your contributions to the community. :) :thumbsup

You're most welcome (and encouraged!) to share any discoveries or images related to the 2015 scenes in my BTTF 2015 thread that you've already posted in. :)

Here comes my next free paper prop. It seems that everyone is currently building his own Mr. Fusion and so I decided to create new accurate logo stickers for your Krups coffee grinder. ;)

In all three movies you can see Mr. Fusion labels that differ slightly from each other. Sometimes it's just the spacing between the letters and sometimes it's the logo color. Decide yourself which one is the best for you.

The PDF files:
US version: Mr_Fusion_Stickers_remade_by_Roland_Zubcic_US-Letter.pdf
International A4 version: Mr_Fusion_Stickers_remade_by_Roland_Zubcic_A4.pdf

Preview pic:
Please note: the gray background is on the preview pic only to better show you the white logo color. The PDF files have no background color (white logo on clear background).
