Well I guess I've skipped quite a few steps but you can see them here:

Hey guys,
it's been quite a few weeks I had in mind to give a shot to this baby and I finally went at it.
I started making the template of the hammer head, thinking that my usual method would work.

I then found out that making a narrow in the sintra and then bending it would affect sizing of the hammer, so I just cut the single pieces and then worked a 22.5° angle with my sander belt.

That just worked out good so I went on to work on the panels of the head using the same method.

Thor's hammer is pretty easy at the beginning stages with this method. Hard part comes when you need to engrave stuff The capstone engraving required two tries before I got it right, but the panels are just impossibile to do by hand.
For the capstone I just made the template, printed it on a sticker and then used a edgy tool to engrave the runes

Here's my first try doing the panel engravings:

I'll have to get them laser cut eventually.
I then went on to cut the holes for the capstone and the handle which I made 3.2 cm of diameter. I'll then use a 3mm thick leather to cover it and make 3.8 as it supposed to me.

The hammer measures a little bit more then the 5 inches x 8 and some as seen in the "profile in history" auction catalog for captain america.
Here are the pics of the mockup

It was done on adobe flash and then laser cut.
The wax thing was just a try to see if I could do it myself
