Living in Buffalo our Christmas was a lot different this year then previous years. A blizzard stopped parties and family gift exchanges, church and even secret Santa delivery.

With the streets plowed and driving bans lifted the mailman surprised me today with an amazing present from my secret Santa. Well thought out and excellently executed it’s the bloodstone from werewolf by night.

So glad you liked it (and that it made it through!) As I mentioned to bondoking in DM, I'd intended to carve and polish the epoxy cast gemstone and embed lights in the stone, as well as add the assorted talismans on the chain, but alas Covid and rebound Covid took me out for most of November and December. But I do like the look of even just having fairy lights behind it! It was fun to make and I really loved that Werewolf by Night Marvel Special.

As usual I've been slacking on posting pics of my gift, but I finally took a few. I opened it on Christmas day, and I was very happy with what I received!

I've attached a sort of collage of images to show it off, and as you can see it's basically a custom 4K Blu-ray Steelbook for Zack Snyder's Justice League

If I'm being honest I do have some very minor nitpicks about it, like the fact that it's the size/height of a DVD case instead of a Blu-ray (or 4K Blu-ray) case, but that shouldn't really matter since I will probably find a place to display it separate from my other DC Blu-rays. Also as cool as the custom disc labels are, the one on disc 2 already seems to have peeled off partially on the edge of the disc, which makes me kinda nervous about actually using the discs since I doubt it'd be good if the label started peeling off more inside my XBOX or something, but I doubt that'll end up actually being an issue.

Overall I am very happy with the gift though, and I really love the thought that was put into it, so thank you very much to whoever my Secret Santa was

Glad you like it! That size DVD case was all i could find as far as blank/metal but ya it's a bit off from standard DVD/blu-ray cases. And the discs are just pulled from a 4K blu-ray with the custom labels slapped on, so there's no special or unique content on there. I used to have a DVD burner back in the day and would have loved to have made a bootleg of the 'Justice is gray' edition or something if I still had the resources.

The British postal service has been unreliable of late so my parcel was understandably delayed. It finally arrived yesterday and was worth the wait! I want to say a huge thank you to my Secret Santa for the original art prints and Mini figs, they are amazing! Will have to get the prints framed and find a suitably prominent spot for them so I can show them off!

Finally got a chance to post my SS Gift! Aeryn sent me some Firefly-themed homemade chocolates, cleverly stored in some 3d printed boxes shaped like protein bars from the show! She said in her note that this was her first time molding chocolates, which is crazy because they look and taste great. I haven't actually eaten the dinosaurs yet since they came out so nice! (also I'm a little curious where she got the mold for the serenity shaped ones). Thank you so much! The protein bar boxes will look excellent on my firefly shelf after the chocolates are gone!

hey glad you like them there are only 3 prints of these in existance after i finished printing these I destroyed the block so you wont find these turning up anywere else.

Oh, that looks quite fun! You can build it in a cave... with a box of carefully organized parts and detailed instructions!

you are very welcome, it was a fun project and a learning experience as i haven't really done bookbinding before. feel free to weather it some more if you like, i feel like it needs to feel more used. hopefully you found the not so secret text near the back.

I did indeed find the text near the back as I gave it a read. I did a double take as I though it was just filled with space for notes towards the back and there it was! I do have a bottle of IPA/rubbing alcohol I could spray/test on a small part of the cover to age it and dry it out quicker to see what it could look like...
