Try rotating the loops and, if you have them, add additional caps. Add a cross bar between the "legs" and it would look like a breaker handle. Looking good!
I love looking at things and thinking "greeblie!"
In the hall, we see the seldom-seen Falcon bathroom door, three tanks of hyperdrive fluid, and a naughty chair for Threepio...

Sofa, that greeblie looks like a grasshopper on...grass The middle part is great, but those side "things" are a bit off (my two cents, of course). Besides that, looking good and thanks to the Laser cutter (finally).
Oh man, this is going to be cool! I'm subscribing to this so I can follow along. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
Hi Gang,
Not much of a weekend update. Spent most of yesterday cleaning the workshop and getting ourselves more organized. Also, the rain, as usual, decides to make an appearance on the weekend making it tough to use the power tools... The laser cutting seems to be holding steady so that's a good thing and I was able to knock a few things out.
Finally updated and cut this greeblie

More to Follow!
Sofaking01,
Here is what it will look like if you don't have two sides and you add two posts. I also shorten the height of the center circle. Thoughts?

Why not do it same way they make archways make a rack size and shape needed then wrap one thin strip around get then fixed in place then add next one gluing together keep repeating to you get the size needed. To get it so is angled either cut after dry or cut edge of wood to angle and size before fitting together. I know this be bit fiddly and time consuming but when done be neat finish and strong and good thing is technically you can make it as big or as small as needs so could do whole ring in one go if you want simply join multiple sections together as you go round.
STEAM is the answer you are looking for with wood. On canal boats that have 1ft square oak beams (least I think it's oak) as edge protection, I saw a programme once about one being restored and the put the beam into a steam over for a few hours, then clamped it into place and it curved around the front of the barge and stayed there with fixings etc.
That would have been my preferred choice but I don't have a steamer. That's why I used water hoping to get the "same" affect.
