Finally "finished" patching this panel (Han's side).

I was really dreading this part... Finished the light bars

Still don't know whether I'll cover with MDF then paint with a gloss white or actually try to back light them... you know me... I'll back light them! lol

It started raining again... ugh...

I had a few light bars sitting around and thought "hmmmmm"...

Add a frosted plastic screen in front and we might have something! But how to attach the screen without showing any of the mounting hardware?

That is a good point. They didn't seem to have Phillips screws in space. I've been plagued by that problem in my designs. It's a pain in the ass to hide all the fasteners! The only answer might be glue?

The other idea is to somehow "slide" the plexiglass/acrylic into place... I was just at the local home improvement store and they didn't have anything that resembled the original prop. I guess it's time to look online...

Well... the rain finally let up... and turned to snow... But i was able to finally get this panel finished!

I'm beginning to think Mother Nature just doesn't like Star Wars... I'm just sayin...

2 More Panels to Go! Then a base for the cockpit surround and console... a door... padding around door... another quad... more LEDs... etc etc etc

This thing is sitting in my living room! Next time I build this... Build it FIRST then paint... then add greeblies... I admit I got a little ahead of myself...

From the back

One more panel to go! The panel that has the circlular screen had to be modified so I'll wait until everything is dried before getting to the VERY last panel... Until I create the panels that go next to the console!

Hi Gang...

WHEW... The panels are FINALLY BUILT! I still have some sanding, filling and cleaning up to do... but they are DONE!

I still have to sand and eventually bolt everything together... So far Starkiller's 3D blueprint was DEAD ON PERFECT!
