More to Follow!

The new vacformed panels really add another level of detail and texture to the cockpit. :thumbsup

Every time I seen an expanded view of the cockpit all I can think of is the line of white "light bars" around the top of the walls. Getting those lit is just going to make me pass out from prop joy!!!

Great work as always!!!

I've been watching this thread for the last year now, and I'm just amazed at how much work has been put into this. As well as how far it has come.

Kudos!

Hi Gang,

This weekend seems like a bust... I didn't get to the front window as I had planned... I may not even be able to get to it before the show. The laundry list of tasks we wanted to get done before Phoenix Festival are slowly dropping off due to time... Anywho...

Started to cut the door track off to match the curve of the cockpit

We have a long weekend before Phoenix... I'm hoping for the best.

Hi Gang,

Just wanted to thank everybody for the kind words and comments! You guys/gals have been amazing and supportive throughout this entire adventure... :D

I have a 4 day weekend coming up before Phoenix so I am going to get as much done as I possibly can. The seat posts are coming along - Daniel and David are working away. The coroplast has been ordered to finally skin the cockpit - it's nothing special but it's enough to give the illusion of skin. Once we get the skin trimmed the cockpit will be taken apart and we work on the lightbars, the door, the radar scope and other misc things...

As always... stay tuned. :)

You guys definitely need to find strong springs, which will keep the seats in piloting position, when in rest mode. Otherwise you will fight with them forever.:)

regards,

Alberto

Actually, I would think that cutting a bit of an angle into the joint sockets would work better.
Make it so the weight of the pilot in the chair forces the arm to lock into flight position.

Good to see the progress over the past few weeks here, great work! I see that the panels are now in place as well, nice! :D

I envy you every time I see that laser cutter. You must be some of in not the most regularly builder, and it looks like some of the key to your success. Anyhow, I keep looking forward to future updates, as always.

Hi Gang,

The nice thing about being at the lab is going though all the old printed circuit boards and other misc electronics and finding we need to make it work...

I'm working on this little project... along with many many more...
