He man's Power Sword 80s style

Great job!
I too have ben thinking of this project but the furthest I have gotten was modeling the sword in Google Sketch up.

Here is what I came up with.

My idea (since I am such a horrible sculptor) is to get it 3D printed somewhere then use that to make some molds to have it cast in aluminum. I also modeled an alternate Face for the She-Ra version. when printed I will take out the Gem as this will be Sculpted (probably not by me) out of a clear colored Acrylic and then set.

These are my Grail. These swords are half the reason I joined the rpf. I gave been waiting to buy them since I was 4 years old. Someone make them and take my money!
 
There two versions of this sword, one with round spheres on the edges and the flat surface mostly seen in the cartoon. I decided to meet both designs half way so is what Im leaning towards. By the way how do I post pics so they don't show as thumbnails?

When I post a picture useing the "insert image" link. I have to put in a URL so I actually upload my Photos through Goggle Docs/Image. Then I make sure it can be viewed by anyone and publish it to the web which generates a URL for me. Next its Copy + Paste then whala I have one Med/Lrg image in my post. I guess the real reason may be I am only loading 1 image or it is because I am using a source other than my computer for the image. In all honesty I have no Idea. All I know is how I post pics here and it seems to load without Thumbs. Hope this Helps!
 
Great looking sword, hope it turns alright for you. Just thought I'd mention that She-ra also had a similiar sword, the only difference was the jewel encrusted in the sword itself... any plans of making She-ra's? I noticed you made the 3D mockup through google, so thought I'd ask.

Also for the inner nerd inside me, the two swords are the Sword of Power and the Sword of Protection.

@TotalusK I did not do the 3D mockup I believe that is Draphin's mockup. As for the sword of protection, yes I will be doing that one also and the Toy version too.
