$20.00 reward, help me identify the correct helmet

I don't know a lot about the costume design of Rollerball, however I get the impression from conversations that there was a strong British influence.

I wonder therefore if you should be looking at British 1970's Biker helmets?

Cheers

Re: $20.00 reward, Rollerball helmet identified !!

The Arthur Fulmers seem close, I'm not 100% just yet.
Something I have noticed.
Some helmets right where the ear hole is.
There is the button snap just beneath the ear hole.
On the helmet that I used, the helmet strap is attached to the helmet with the button snap.
Other helmets have what appears to be a flat rivet, right where the ear hole would be.
I'm thinking that that is where the helmet strap is attached on those helmets.
I'm not positive on that, but thats what I think.
Also, and again I could be wrong, but I am certain that the chin cups are a part of the helmet.
All the rest of the gear that they used has barely been modifies, if at all.
And if they did add the chin cup, then what is it exactly.
The photos I posted have pretty clear shots of the chin, so that should be easy to verify if a match shows up.
The only indicator I can find is on the back of the helmet, the shape of the goggle snap.
I'm no sure that I can get a clearer picture of it.
On a different note, did anyone notice that Houston, and New York have double rail face guards, and Madrid and Tokyo have single bar.

Obviously, not the original make/model of the '75 helmet....
But if you are planning on knocking out a replica, this would be a good start

If that one or the Davida I posted earlier in this thread doesn't float your boat, try these brands....

Centurion (British company)
Falcon
Buco
Grant
El Dorado
Bon Air
JP Vintage
Roper-Lanco
Stadium

This is interesting...it has an ear vent hole

Hey Rebel hunter, that forum I hope is an excellent place to look.
They look as crazy about bikes and gear as we are about props.
I signed on and posted a message, fingers crossed.
I also found a picture on there of an old John Deere helmet with a chin cup that looks really close.
Again it is not 100%, but darn I think it might make a close second.
I just don't know if it has a goggle snap or not.
As well the metal bits on the chin cup are not quite right.

Now I bet this guy would either know the helmet or has one !

Ièm on vacation in Amsterdam right now. And I think I have found the correct motorcycle helmet.
The helmet is made by Stadium.
I stumbled across one here at a flemarket.
I passed on it as it was pretty beat up, but it was only 8 Euros.
If I can find it again I am going to buy it.

As some may know, I am on vacation right now.
Spending my last couple days in London.
Before being here I was in Amsterdam.
Well, one afternoon, after a nice snack of a mooncake
We were wandering around a flea market.
You know when you get that feeling, like you just know you are going to spot something ?
So I'm sorting through all the blocks of vendors and such, and there it is, in all its orange goodness !
It is the right color orange, it has only one button on the side of the ear, the chin cup is bang on, and so is the helmet/goggle snap at the back.
On top of all that, it was only 8 Euros.
I'll post pics later, when I get home.

This is a post from another site.
Anyways, I have checked online, and it is indeed the correct helmet.
Looks like I owe myself 20 bucks ! :)

Looks like I forgot to post the manufacturer.
The brand name is Stadium.
I believe the various models are listed by project #
Like Stadium project 6
So there we go, I get to add my name to the list of people who have identified or found something. :)

Never even saw this movie... but THAT sure looks close! The chinstrap looks dead on from what we can see of it.

A bit late to this party but that looks to me like the helmet and it was around in 75 .... i was born in 75 and my dad had one of those exact helmets back then, (he even had the cheesy dome visor that hinges and clips onto the sides near the strap rivets), when i was still young him and a friend of his turned it into exactly the thing this thread is about for a halloween costume or something i dont remember exactly, but i do remember the helmet... i spent many a fun hour running around in that thing.
