I thought I shared this video about the CF Sound repeater that I’ll be using for my Cylon display.

The CF Sound III is a product that allows you to play wav files which are stored on a flash memory card. Then those sounds can be triggered when a connection is closed. It can also play background music until a connection is closed. So you can have the eye sound effect repeat until you trigger another Wav file. The white box is a 12 channel RF remote control. What you do is wire the inputs off the CF sound box to the Relay box so when you push #1 it closes that relay and triggers a sound. With the last two channels 11-12 I used those for volume control.

This is the board the wires go to. Otherwise if you just order the CF sound
box there is only 2 inputs on it.

The 12 Channel Wireless RF Radio Remote Control is on Ebay. Just do a search. They
are around $30 and are shipped from China.
Other helpful is info.
Flashcard needs to be formatted in Fat32
Files have to be saved as 16 bit Wav 44.1KHZ
Use a 4 ohm speaker 25 watt
Files names 1-10 need to be
01.wav
02.wav
03.wav
04.wav
05.wav
06.wav
07.wav
08.wav
09.wav
0A.wav
I save channels 11-12 for the volume.
Also these new RF remotes have a buzzer
when pressed. Just de soldered the buzzer from the board.

This link shows how its done. But he is using two relay remotes.

It was a CD produced by another Cylon builder a few years ago. He bought his own vocoder and made an hour long cd of Cylon chatter. I’ll see if I can track him down.

I have this set up for my R2 when its done. Its so easy ...I didn't know the controller existed though ! I will have to pick one up.

Very nice. That'll get some attention, for sure!

Is that the cheapest and smallest that it can go, though? It seems that something as simple as triggered audio could be a lot smaller.. :confused
