Moebius 1/35th Jupiter 2 question

I’m starting to paint the interior for the Jupiter 2 and I was wondering if anyone had problems with primer and paint sticking to the plastic? I noticed that masking tape is not adhering well and falling off the bare plastic parts. I have washed all the parts first in detergent and water as always. I will be using Tamiya primer and paint from a rattle can. Thoughts?
