Hope everyone had a Merry christmas and are looking forward to a Happy New Year! I got this kit for christmas and finished up today, thought I would take a slightly different approach. I have always enjoyed Ralph McQuarrie concept drawings and thought I would do the paint scheme for this model as close to his drawing that I could. I haven't seen "The Last Jedi" yet but someone told me there is an A-wing somewhere present in the film and it is loosely based on the Ralph McQuarrie concept.

Yeah, I tried to, the original painting is from an angle that I couldn't help but improvise somewhat. Actually I improvised on a couple of other things but the "spirit" of the concept painting is there, I hope.
