Iron Man Project Planning- Questions

So I want to do an Iron Man cosplay that isn't the whole armor but at least the gauntlets and boots. I want to do my own design so that I'm not tethered to accuracy.My design is only stealing a little from this picture I found.
My question is: If I make a helmet, is there a way that the mask can retract into the helmet instead of on top? Similar to the Hulkbuster or the Invincible Iron Man helmets.
