Hey guys,
So, the first big project I want to undertake is a replica of the mirror from the live action Beauty and the Beast that just came out. I want to make it for my best friend's birthday and add a strip of LEDs plus a picture of us behind a see-through mirrored piece of acrylic. The replica wont be perfect because I know that setup will add some thickness, but I'm curious if I'm on the right track here, or if there's a simpler way to make this work?
My basic idea for materials are:
See-through mirrored acrylic
Battery-powered LED tape (Is there a specific brand that anyone would recommend?)
A picture
A cheap handheld mirror (for the foundation of the prop)
Super-sculpey and armature wire (to make the filagree and other designs on the mirror
Any thoughts, suggestions, or tips that you guys would have for me are really appreciated! I'm really excited to be a part of this community now!
