So I've been looking for a Fate of Atlantis Medallion but decided to make one from scratch.
I used grey sculpy to build the model, then baked it to perfection. Afterwords I used gold paint on the whole thing then dashes it with green and blue restoration paints. Next I sprayed it with hair spray and dashed a little bit of fine sand onto the piece and wiped away the excess to only leave sand in the cracks and crevices. Then scraped it with black acrylic paint.
Lastly I bent up a thin aluminum wire into the top piece and glued it into two holes I drilled into the top of the medallion.
Now, all that's left, is to buy a decent chain. All in all I was super happy with how this turned out and it only cost me about 30¢ to make (already had paints, sand, and hairspray). It took roughly 2 hours from start to finish.
Tell me what you think
