Dragon Head Pauldrons Sculpting and Molding Help

This is a question (ok, more than one) for all the sculptors/mold makers out there. I am planning on making these dragon head pauldrons and figured that sculpting it would be the easiest way to get the two pauldrons to look the same. I have WED clay I'll be using for the sculpting, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to support the scuplture? I was thinking of having a base and then 2 poles to hold it up - would that work? I was also wondering about using something (possibly tin foil or something) as a core to build up in order to use less clay, but I'm worried it will collapse.

I was also wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what product to use for the actual mold? I was thinking of using a Mold Max product but am open for suggestions.

My final questions is about the horns. They will be made separately and applied after the fact, but I am hoping to make them glow. I was thinking of using PETG but am not sure if there's something better to use. It needs to be light weight, but it doesn't need to be completely translucent, as long as it can produce a glowing effect it will work.

Sorry for the word dump and thanks for your help!

Hey! So I think your idea is great, and I haven't done much sculpting with clay, I usually use foam for my cosplays, but I found this tutorial thing on sculpting a Deathclaw from Fallout 4. Might be helpful for you?

For the horns, the only thing I can think of at the moment is maybe casting some clear resin into a horn shaped mould and putting a LED in the bottom of it.

This lady is really good! She speaks German (I think), but you can put subtitles on and it should be fine. She also sells some books about making cosplays, from basics to more advanced stuff, icluding cosplay lights!

I don't know if this helped at all, but I hope I gave you some ideas
